This guide will help you to register your account for self-service so you can reset your Office 365 password in the case is forgotten


To register the account, you will simply need to verify your mobile phone or your personal email address (although it is recommended to verify both of them) as described in the following steps:

  1. Visit and login to https://portal.office.com.

  2. If your account is not registered, you will be prompt for more information. If this is the case please click on 'Next'

  3. Select verification method (Phone or Email)

  4. For Phone option, enter your mobile number and verify it by SMS or phone call


  5. For Email, please enter your personal email address (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail)

  6. Once both Authentication Methods are verified, you will see the following screen. Click on 'Finish'.

  7. Well done! At this stage your account has been registered for self-service. From now on you can reset your own password at any time.
